狗狗的DNA裡深深植入對人類的喜愛和忠誠，但是有些人卻沒有給予狗狗相同的回報，有一隻比特犬被主人帶到收容所的籠子裡，之後就拋下了牠，望著主人走遠的樣子，眼淚停不住的狗狗眼神令人心碎。
卡森動物收容所（Carson Shelter）位於美國加州，園方收留這隻比特犬時，沒有人注意到牠眼中帶著悲傷，披著藍灰色毛皮的牠名叫「Blue」，可憐的牠是被主人親手帶到收容所棄養，原因是他們要搬到新家了、而且不打算帶著Blue一起去。

卡森收容所是積極執行安樂死的機構，狗狗在裡面待的時間越長，遭到安樂死的機率越大，因此有許多志工會到卡森去救援有機會被領養的狗，一位志工拍下憂傷Blue的照片，還送牠狗零食、但牠不願意吃，只是整天在籠子裡掉眼淚，可能是因為悲傷過度，也有工作人員猜測可能是過敏引起。
流淚的Blue的消息被傳播到臉書上，一名叫珍妮佛的女子到收容所去看牠，她說：「其他狗看到我的時候都會站起來搖尾巴，只有Blue看起來一副生無可戀的樣子。」最後她決定給Blue一個新家，令人意外的是，Blue適應良好，在新主人的照顧之下，牠喜歡睡覺、愛玩、還喜歡被摸肚子，完全變成一隻全新的狗狗！
